BAFTA er det britiske svar på Oscar-uddelingen. Og så er BAFTA også interessant i Oscar-sammenhæng, fordi omkring 500 BAFTA-medlemmer også stemmer til Oscar. Nu er årets BAFTA-nomineringer så sluppet ud, der giver mest kærlighed til film som “La La Land”, “[url=/film/nocturnal-animals]Nocturnal Animals[/url]” og “Arrival”.

De tre store Oscar-favoritter til bedste film er alle nomineret i kategorien hos BAFTA. Der er tale om “[url=/film/la-la-land]La La Land[/url]”, “[url=/film/manchester-by-the-sea]Manchester by the Sea[/url]” og “Moonlight”.
I effekt-kategorien ser det ud til, at slaget skal udkæmpes imellem “[url=/film/arrival]Arrival[/url]” og “[url=/film/rogue-one-a-star-wars-story]Rogue One[/url]” – dog med “[url=/film/junglebogen-2016]Junglebogen[/url]” som markant outsider.
