Sidste år gav den udenlandske presse deres Golden Globes til “[url=/film/boyhood]Boyhood[/url]” og instruktør Richard Linklater, imens de så bort fra de senere Oscar-vindere, “[url=/film/birdman]Birdman[/url]” og instruktør Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. Det fik de rådet bod på i nat, da Inarritu fik sin instruktørpris for “[url=/film/revenant-the]The Revenant[/url]”, som også vandt for bedste drama og mandlige skuespiller i form af Leonardo DiCaprio.

I komediekategorien blev “[url=/film/martian-the]The Martian[/url]” den store vinder, der vandt for bedste komedie, imens Matt Damon blev bedste komedieskuespiller. Derimod gik de store Oscar-favoritter, “[url=/film/spotlight]Spotlight[/url]” og “[url=/film/big-short-the]The Big Short[/url]”, tomhændet hjem fra Golden Globes-festen.
Det er dog vigtigt at understrege, at selv om det hvert år siges, at Golden Globes er et fingerpeg om, hvordan Oscar arter sig, så er det på ingen måde tilfældet. Globes er en journalistpris, imens Oscar uddeles af branchen. Så i Oscar-sammenhæng bør du i stedet holde øje med de tre største branchepriser – SAG, PGA og DGA.
