Den var nomineret til hele 11 BAFTA-priser, men “[url=/film/la-la-land]La La Land[/url]” måtte nøjes med fem af slagsen, da den britiske filmbranche her til aften uddelte BAFTA for 70. gang.

Til gengæld var det i de store kategorier, at Oscar-favoritten “La La Land” tog sine britiske priser hjem. Bedste film, instruktør, kvindelig hovedrolle, fotografering og naturligvis musik gik til den amerikanske musical.
Med to priser hver blev “[url=/film/lion]Lion[/url]” og “[url=/film/manchester-by-the-sea]Manchester by the Sea[/url]” aftenens andre store vindere, imens en anden Oscar-favorit, kritiker-favoritten “[url=/film/moonlight]Moonlight[/url]”, måtte gå tomhændet hjem.
Den internationale award-sæson afrundes om to uger, når Oscar uddeles. Også her forventes “La La Land” at løbe med flertallet af priserne.
