Selv om Fox formentlig bliver solgt til Disney, så venter Fox-Marvel ikke på, at Marvel Studios og Kevin Feige skal overtage. Nu arbejder Marvel-afdelingen hos Fox på en film om Silver Surfer.

Det er [url=https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/will-disney-disrupt-foxs-x-men-movie-mega-plans-1088623]The Hollywood Reporter[/url], der skriver, at Fox langsomt genopliver deres “Fantastic Four”-univers igen efter 2015-floppet med “[url=/film/fantastic-four-2015]Fantastic Four[/url]”.
En “Doctor Doom”-film er allerede annonceret, men nu afsløres det, at Fox også har sat en af manuskript-forfatterne på Marvel-serien “Daredevil”, Brian K. Vaughan, til at skrive en solofilm om Silver Surfer.
Karakteren fik sin filmdebut tilbage i 2007 med “[url=/film/fantastic-four-rise-of-the-silver-surfer]Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer[/url]”, hvor titelrollen blev spillet af Doug Jones, som aktuelt spiller monstret i Oscar-favoritten “[url=/film/shape-of-water-the]The Shape of Water[/url]”.
